With close to 20 years’ experience, Alison advises clients across a range of sectors including retail, technology and telecoms, banking, insurance, media, pharma and property. She began her career with a Magic Circle firm and, as well as working for businesses and senior executives within the financial sector, has also completed an 18-month placement in the inhouse legal team of a leading retail and tech business. Alison works closely with HR and ER teams, senior leaders and in‑house legal functions, providing clear, commercially grounded advice tailored to each client’s goals. Her approach is pragmatic, responsive and focused on achieving practical and commercial outcomes in fast‑moving and high‑pressure environments.
Her work covers everything from day‑to‑day HR and ER matters, such as family rights, disciplinary and grievance issues and performance management, to complex employment tribunal litigation involving equal pay, discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing. She has substantial experience advising on large‑scale redundancies and restructuring projects and is well‑versed in the TUPE challenges that arise during acquisitions and service provider transitions.
