Andrew Campbell is a Partner and Head of Pensions, advising on the full range of pensions issues across advisory, transactional and contentious matters.
With approaching two decades’ experience, Andrew works with corporates and trustee boards across a wide range of sectors, supporting both employers and trustees on complex pensions challenges. He advises UK businesses and trustees on strategic pensions issues, with a particular focus on defined benefit schemes and their impact on funding, governance and corporate activity.Â
He is widely recognised for his expertise in defined benefit pension schemes, including scheme funding, closures, benefit redesign and liability management exercises. Andrew also advises on the development and governance of defined contribution schemes, including master trusts and pensions governance vehicles, as well as pensions tax, auto‑enrolment and life assurance arrangements. In addition, he has significant experience advising on trust‑related matters, including Employee Ownership Trusts, and is known for his technical precision and ability to translate complex issues into clear, practical advice.Â
Having joined Doyle Clayton in 2017 after training and practising at leading City firms, Andrew brings a wealth of experience advising on high‑value and strategically important pensions matters. He is a regular commentator on pensions issues and is frequently trusted with sensitive matters where commercial, legal and governance considerations intersect.
