With extensive experience in corporate and commercial litigation, he advises businesses, trustees and individuals on complex, high‑value disputes. Julian focuses on helping clients navigate contentious matters that often carry significant financial, operational and reputational implications. He has acted across a wide range of industry sectors, including financial services and markets, pensions, engineering and professional services, guiding clients through the most technical and sensitive litigation risks.
Julian’s expertise span claims involving breaches of directors’ and fiduciary duties, fraud, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, pensions litigation and corporate governance issues. His experience includes acting for defendants and claimants in major High Court (Commercial and Chancery) proceedings, including cases concerning: fraudulent and negligent trading activity and unlawful directorial conduct; ‘best endeavours’ contractual obligations, contract formation and remuneration disputes; and complex litigation relating to hedge fund profits, and involving jurisdictional challenges and privacy applications. He is also highly experienced in pensions‑related litigation, representing trustees and representative beneficiaries in cases involving scheme rectification, employer debt regulations and interpretation of scheme rules. His work frequently involves novel legal issues and cross‑border elements.
Julian is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association, reflecting his depth of expertise in pensions law and professional liability matters.
