Maya is a solicitor advising both organisations and individuals across a wide range of contentious and non‑contentious employment law matters.
Maya works with employers and employees across a broad range of sectors, regularly representing clients in Employment Tribunal and High Court proceedings. Her contentious experience includes restrictive covenant disputes, TUPE claims, unfair and constructive dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination, redundancy payment claims and group protective awards.Â
Alongside her litigation work, Maya advises clients on employment contracts and settlement agreements, workplace policies and handbooks, and supports employers in responding to Data Subject Access Requests. Her non‑contentious advice is pragmatic and solutions‑focused, helping clients manage risk effectively.Â
Prior to joining Doyle Clayton, Maya trained at a US law firm in London, working on multi‑jurisdictional employment matters for UK and international clients across sectors including financial services, tech, fashion, retail, hospitality, leisure and property. She holds an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Bristol and an LLB from the University of Leeds, and is a published author on the law concerning freedom of expression, with particular expertise on the laws governing the regulation of online content.
