Peter is Chairman of Doyle Clayton and an original co‑founder of the firm.

Over more than 25 years, he has played a central role in shaping Doyle Clayton’s growth and direction, from its origins as a specialist employment law practice to a leading workplace law and advisory firm.

As Chairman and Board Director, Peter works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Tina Wisener, and the senior leadership team to support the firm’s long‑term vision, strategy and sustainable growth. He brings deep experience, sound judgement and a strong commercial perspective, helping ensure the firm continues to deliver clear, practical and high‑quality advice to its clients.

Peter is a longstanding specialist in employment law and workplace issues, with particular expertise advising owner‑managed businesses, senior executives and boards. He is widely recognised for his work on employee ownership, partnership and shareholder matters, restrictive covenant and team move disputes, and complex senior executive exits.

A passionate advocate of Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs), Peter believes they offer a more inclusive and sustainable model of business ownership. He was the chief architect behind Doyle Clayton’s own transition to employee ownership in 2019 and is now Chairman of the Doyle Clayton EOT. Under his leadership, employee ownership has become a core service offering of the firm.

Peter is known for his pragmatic, commercially astute approach and his ability to cut through complexity to provide clear, actionable advice. Clients value his calm, strategic insight and his focus on achieving outcomes that work in practice.
