Simon Henthorn is a Partner and Head of Education, advising on education and employment law matters for education sector organisations and individuals.
With over 25 years’ experience, Simon works with schools, colleges, universities, academy trusts and sector bodies, as well as individuals, on the full range of education law issues. He advises institutions across the education sector on complex and sensitive matters, often where employment, regulatory and safeguarding issues intersect.
Simon is widely recognised for his expertise in employment and safeguarding matters affecting the education sector. His practice includes advising on disciplinary and capability processes, retirement, allegations of misconduct, safeguarding and safer recruitment, discrimination and whistleblowing, restructuring and senior exits. He also has significant experience in education‑related litigation and regulatory matters, bringing clear strategic judgement to cases with high reputational risk.
Simon brings deep sector knowledge and practical insight to his work. Under his leadership, the firm’s Education team has built a strong reputation for its breadth of expertise and commercially focused advice, supporting clients through complex and time‑critical challenges.
