Annual increase in tribunal compensation limits confirmed
What have been the changes in 2019 to tribunal compensation limits?
The Government has confirmed a 3.3% increase in tribunal compensation limits.
The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal is set to increase to £86,444 (up from £83,682).
The maximum amount of a week’s pay, used for calculating the unfair dismissal basic award and statutory redundancy payments, is also increasing to £525 (up from £508).
The new rates apply where the effective date of termination is on or after 6 April 2019.
