On the 23 February 2916 four workers were killed and five injured in the collapse of a building at Didcot Power Station.

The 10-storey concrete and steel building at the derelict Didcot A site in south Oxfordshire came down at around 4pm on Tuesday 23 February while it was being prepared for demolition. A further 50 people were treated for dust inhalation. The building housed the condemned power station’s boilers.

The Health and Safety Executive is carrying out a joint investigation with police into the cause of the collapsed boiler house under the work-related deaths protocol.
