Tribunal Claims Still Falling
The latest employment tribunal statistics reveal a 25% drop in the number of single claims compared to the same period last year and a drop on the previous quarter.
Overall there was a 52% decrease in the number of single claims received in 2014/15 compared to 2013/14.
Although multiple claims were three times higher than the same period last year, the Ministry of Justice noted that the trend in multiple claims is more volatile than single claims.
The latest figures coincide with the government’s announcement that it is starting its review of the impact of the introduction of employment tribunal fees.
